I learned a clever little lesson from someone. I learned alot of things from this person, some good, mostly bad, but this was one of those rare good ones. This one made me a stronger woman. First, I’ll tell the story, then I’ll teach you the lesson. Savvy?
I was at the bank with my friend a couple weeks ago. The banker was cute and polite. By nature, I’m quite flirty in response, however since I was with my friend, I stayed on the edges of disregard and smiles. Upon leaving, my friend says to me, “You know he was flirting with you, right?” like I had no idea to which I brazenly responded, “Yeah, because I’m hot”. He blinked and watched me put my sunglasses on as we exited the building. “He was totally checking you out too.” he tells me, like I didn’t hear him the first time. “I know, it’s because I’m totally hot.” I look both ways before entering the street. “Yeah, you’re real sexy with that mustache of yours.” We both laugh and I tell him he’s an idiot.
The moral of the story? If you act like you have confidence no one else will be of the wiser, and you’ll get your way more often. And when you continue to act like you have even more confidence, you can fool yourself. So even if your a stuttering mess on the inside, play it cool and act like your hot shit.
